Historic Residence Addition/Renovation

Located in downtown Charleston’s historic district, the project includes a two story addition to an 1880’s historic residence.

An existing 1980’s addition was removed and replaced with a more compatible addition comprised of a small living room, bedroom, elevator, and 1 1/2 baths. The existing kitchen linking the house to the addition was re-organized in order to provide visual access to a new outdoor pool area and increased natural light, as well as an open connection to the historic house’s dining room. A second floor deck was added above the kitchen.
